Silvia and I made some macaroons together not long ago and thought we'd share some photos with you.
On the Thursday night before Easter we stayed up till 1 and we ended up with macarons with no feet, lots of feet, cracks, hollow shells, burnt shells... but also some perfect specimens: we had an exciting night of experimenting and eventually we were able to pack some macarons for Easter presents for family.
We tried: black sesame shells with raspberry-white chocolate ganache, pistachio shells with salted caramel ganache (these didn't develop feet) and some shells with beetroot-powder colouring as well. There are some pics with black sesame-beetroot coloured shells with black sesame-white chocolate ganache as well.
Thanks again for the lesson!
