Romancing the Scone

I know, what a twee title,  and the film came out in 1984 so I suppose it is almost a classic now - or perhaps some of you have never heard of it! Not sure that I even saw it but it was a forerunner to all the Harrison Ford adventure films.

It came into my head after two young Japanese men came for a baking class. They had come over to Europe to see some football matches both here in England and then on to Germany. But one of them, Taichi, (on the left) wanted to learn to bake scones for his girlfriend. So they donned aprons and learnt! Lucky girl!
